Baryulgil is a small, isolated school on the upper reaches of the Clarence river in Northern New South Wales. It services the two Aboriginal communities of "The Square" and Malabugilmah. The school aims to meet the physical, social, intellectual, emotional and cultural needs of its students. It prepares students for their secondary education and gives them the confidence and experience to adapt to larger towns and learning environments The school focuses on appropriate sporting, educational and cultural excursions to overcome the geographical and cultural isolation.
